Brian M. Brown, M.D.
Dr. Brown was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Downey. He graduated with double honors from Stanford University, followed by his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Brown completed his post-graduate studies in ophthalmology at Doheny Eye Institute (USC), Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Stanford University, and Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles.
Dr. Brown is Chief of Ophthalmology at Downey Regional Medical Center and clinical instructor of ophthalmology at the Doheny Eye Institute and Western State University. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Additionally he is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, California Association of Ophthalmology, and the Los Angeles Eye Society.
Dr. Brown specializes in laser refractive surgery and small incision cataract surgery. He is on staff at Downey Regional Medical Center, Whittier Presbyterian Hospital, USC Laser Vision Center, and LAC-USC Medical Center.
Dr. Brown is the chief of staff at Downey Regional Medical Center. He is the past chairman of the board of Downey Federal Credit Union. He was formerly the chairman of the Seal Beach City Planning Commission.
